Adopt a Family and Christmas Toy Drive

It’s that time of year again to prepare for Project Interdependence’s annual Christmas events!
There are two different ways in which you can participate.  You can participate in our Adopt-a-Family for Christmas program or donate toward our Annual Christmas Toy Giveaway.

1. Adopt-a-Family and shop directly from a child’s wish list and deliver the gifts directly to their home.  You may also have the option to deliver the gifts to Associated Ministries and staff will deliver the presents to the family’s home.  Each year we receive numerous applications from families living all across Pierce County. Thus you can choose a family you’d like to adopt based on the family size and location.

We are now asking that families turn in applications for our Adopt-a-Family-for-Christmas program in October.  You can have a child’s wish list in your hands in time for the after Thanksgiving shopping sales.

2. Donate toys or cash to purchase toys for our Annual Christmas Toy Giveaway.  This is a great event to ensure that all the children who were not adopted receive a gift for Christmas.

We are hoping that all donations come in by December 5th to help staff set up and prepare. If you send a check to Associated Ministries, 1224 South I Street, please be sure to write “Toy Giveaway” in the memo so funds will be properly distributed.

These two events allow individuals or families to take part in a way that is affordable to you.  Buy one or two toys, donate the dollar amount you can afford, make an offering as a church, or group of friends and family, or adopt a family.

To participate, or for questions, please contact Virginia Priest at (253) 383-3056 ext. 146 or
christmas@associatedministries.org.

To help get the word out, please post the enclosed flyer at your church or place of business.  Thank you.
